!SpriteSrt (god I hate not being able to fit that 'o' in) Graeme Foster
========== =============
Version 1.00 (14 Apr 1994)
I personally don't like !Help files which aren't called !Help, but it doesn't
seem right to stick a great long text file on the 'Help' option on the icon
bar.
Anyway, I finally got fed up of searching through huge files of sprites in
any old order when trying to sort out a nice selection to be loaded in during
my !Boot sequence, so I hacked up this little tool.
I haven't really done any testing at all, so be careful how you use it. I may
be interested if you find any bugs, then again I might not. Still, it's
probably worth reporting them.
I dread to think how long it takes to sort out a file on floppy disc due to
the horrifically bad file handling. I daren't try. :-)
This program was something I wrote for my own personal benefit, because I
couldn't think of any easier way to do the job (drop me a line if there's an
easier way... but I hope not!), and besides, I was bored. Out of the goodness
of my heart I thought I may as well share it with you. I therefore make no
claims that it is:
(a) Well written
(b) Worth keeping
or even (c) Worth using
...but I do hope that it is (c) at least once.

Instructions for use

Oh come on!

Licence
=======
You may freely distribute the application in its entirety (which means
including this file), and quite frankly I don't care if you do make a profit
out of it. I'd like to see someone try. However, it does remain copyright to
me, so in the highly unlikely event that you do manage to make any money out
of it, I want to know...
Sundays: Noon 'til 3pm.

Contacting me
=============
Choose one of the following methods:
(1) Hang around pubs/clubs in the Southampton area until you
bump into me. (you need to know what I look like for this one)
(2) Place postcards in newsagents' windows all around the country
giving your name, address and telephone number. (extremely
difficult as I never read them)
(3) Buy me a house and pop round when I'm in. (expensive)
(4) Send a message to 'goatie' on |\/|onochrome (if you know what it is)
(5) Attempt to meet me at one of my lectures (you'll be lucky)
(6) Email me: grf92@ecs.soton.ac.uk (until June '95) (easiest - if
you have email)
(7) Write to me at: "The Beeches",
22 Hall Orchards,
Middleton,
Kings Lynn,
Norfolk.
PE32 1RY (almost as easy as no.6)

THIS PROGRAM IS SHAREWARE
=========================
It is NOT free software.
This means that you may use this software for a two-hundred-and-fifty
thousand year trial period. After the trial period, you decide if you want to
continue using the software. If you want to continue using it, you have to
register yourself as a user, and pay an obscene registration fee of £10,
which automatically ensures you of full support.
If you don't, you must spend the money on that CD in Our Price you've
*almost* bought a dozen times. Or beer.
For more information on this program and how to register, just make it up as
you go along.
Peace, love and humptyness forever.
Cheers then,
Graeme. (12/4/94)

PS If you've done anything interesting in the way of flashing screens etc.
triggered by the DSymPlay module, get in touch.
PPS I am interested in collecting nice, useful page layouts and styles for
both Impression and Techwriter to be put in the public domain, as I'm
sure lots of people would find them very handy. Send them to me.
PPPS Sorry about this file. I'm in an odd mood. :-)
